PART 2

Baton Rouge, Louisiana

The 2014 USS Hubbard Reunion was held in Baton Route, Louisiana.  Baton Rouge gave the party the opportunity to tour some of the many local attractions and take a close up look at a significant part of our nation's history.  With New Orleans nearby, shipmates had the opportunity to tour actual plantations, step inside historic buildings, taste the local flavor, culture, and listen to the music that makes Louisiana the home of jazz music and Cajun cooking.  Some at the reunion party visited the National World War ll Museum, and went aboard the historic USS Kidd.  While other took time out to visit an old shipmate who was currently recovering nearby from medical issues preventing him from attending the reunion.  Dick Oliver once again took time out to host another reunion, while also keeping the shipmates informed on all related news through the Hubbard email group as editor of the Hubbard Herald.  Al Eisenbraun was on hand and as usual spent a portion of his time continuing to maintain this web site, track down ex shipmates, and keep the ship's roster current.  For everyone that contributed to this group we thank you and hope you had a wonderful time at the 2014 Reunion.  Pictures from the banquet, as well as some of the recreational activities will be added to this web site in the weeks ahead.  Check back, and contact Dick Oliver or Al Eisenbraun if you have any questions, concerns, or want information on the next Harry Hubbard Reunion.
